Frankfurt, Germany– 19 May 2024: Exhibition World Bahrain (EWB) participated at IMEX Frankfurt 2024, the largest MICE travel and tourism trade show in Europe, which was held in Frankfurt, Germany, on 14-16 May 2024.
The team’s activities took off with EWB’s participation at an adjacent association event on the morning of the 13th of May, where EWB was a key sponsor of the International Congress and Convention Association (ICCA) IMEX breakfast. The event joined together ICCA’s Middle East members with key hosted-buyers and potential clients. This joint initiative, in collaboration with ICCA brought together thought leaders from the Middle East region for a rapid business platform that aims to support ICCA partners with generating business leads.
The EWB team joined a distinguished line-up of speakers at the ICCA Breakfast networking event, where they showcased EWB’s state-of-the-art facilities and in-house bespoke catering and culinary services led by an exceptional team of chefs, which makes EWB a prime destination for business meetings, large-scale exhibitions, and conventions, both regionally and internationally.
The EWB team also highlighted the latest initiatives undertaken by EWB to create a long-term legacy for Bahrain in the MICE industry, mainly launching an incentive programme to support major international organisers and associations to host their events in Bahrain at EWB. In addition to introducing numerous sustainable initiatives within the venue for extra usage of clean energy, this underscores EWB’s commitment to environmental conservation and sets a precedent for event venues globally.
The networking event was followed by the main IMEX Frankfurt show, which took place over three days, where the EWB team was able to engage with a multitude of MICE industry professionals and exhibit the state-of-the-art venue. This supports continued efforts to position EWB and the Kingdom of Bahrain as a leading MICE centre on the global business tourism map, able to cater to all types of regional, European, and international events of varying sizes.
By increasing the venue’s visibility and engaging with key business event players on a larger scale, the EWB team was able to accelerate growth potential, build partnerships, and obtain a competitive edge in the MICE market at IMEX Frankfurt 2024. Additional beneficial outcomes include better brand positioning and important networking opportunities with global industry experts.
